Cardiff Christmas Market: 11 November – 23rd December

What could be more magical than a day spent perusing the eclectic mix of stalls at the annual Cardiff Christmas Market. With an array of food stalls offering festive treats both savoury and sweet, as well as all manner of quirky handmade goods, you’re certain to feel the warming glow of seasonal festivity at this iconic event. Not to mention, it’s a great place to start – or finish off if you’re of the organised kind – your Christmas present shopping!

This year’s exhibitors can be found setting up their iconic wooden huts and lodges on St John Street, Working Street, the Hayes, Hills Street and Trinity Street.

Winter Wonderland in Cardiff: 16th November – 02 January 2022

From the iconic ice-skating rink to magic winter walking trails that lead all around the stunning grounds of Cardiff Castle, Winter Wonderland is destined to be the standout Christmas event of the year.

Split across two of Cardiff’s most-loved landmarks, City Hall Lawns and Cardiff Castle, there’s ample space to mill around soaking up the festive atmosphere, of course, with a cup of mulled wine in hand!

If you’re visiting Wales’ lively cosmopolitan capital for the first time, be sure to take a ride on the infamous Giant Wheel, which will be standing tall at the City Hall Lawns. Offering some of the best views of Cardiff, the Giant Wheel will see visitors soaring high above the city skyline, providing a birdseye view over the festive fun below!

Reindeer Safari, Mold: 27th November – 24th December

Rumour has it, Santa and his entourage of reindeers will be resting up ahead of the big day itself, Christmas Day, at Black Meadows Farm in Mold!

Between the end of November and Christmas Eve, an immersive drive-through theatre show will be taking place in the stunning snowy countryside of northeast Wales. A wonderful day out that will indulge the imaginations of children and adults alike, families will be escorted through an enchanting trail surrounded by the paddocks of majestic reindeer herds, mystical woodlands and even a hidden elf village, all before a visit to the all-important man himself: Father Christmas!

Christmas is a time for memories to be made and treasured for years to come. Proud parents are encouraged to take photographs of their little ones as they meet Father Christmas and receive their very own gift, and there’s plenty of opportunity to snap up photographs for the family album at the Christmas stalls and array of exciting fairground rides.
