Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountains & Coast
Designated as the first National Park in Wales, Eryri (Snowdonia) boasts over 800 square miles and has so much more to offer visitors than simply walking and hiking. The unique yet diverse scenery can be enjoyed from its nine mountain ranges where you will come across a vast range of river gorges, lakes and waterfalls. How high do you want to go? All 3,560ft (or 1085m if you’re of a metric disposition) to the top of Eryri, the highest mountain in Wales and England? If you don’t fancy the walk, then hop on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is the centrepiece of a huge National Park that contains not just mountains but vales clothed in ancient oakwoods, moorlands, lakes and a stunning coastline stretching over 20 miles along the park. If the dramatic scenery from the peak of Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) is what draws you into this area it will certainly be the breadth of activities that keep you coming back time and again. There are an abundance of family friendly activities as well as high octane adventure activities on offer.
