There are 39 miles of bays and beaches in the Gower, with Three Cliffs Bay, Port Eynon and Rhossili being amongst the award-winning sandy shores of this region. Rhossili also boasts being one of the top dog-friendly beaches in the UK so it’s well worth taking your four legged friend on holiday with you. The aforementioned Maritime Quarter proudly displays a bronze statue of its most famous writer and poet, Dylan Thomas. There is also a Dylan Thomas Centre which houses an exhibition of his work or head to 5 Cwmdonkin Drive, the house where Dylan was born and raised – you don’t just have to peek through the window- it is open for tours. Mumbles is a typical seaside town with a beautiful Victorian pier. It has a quirky mix of boutiques, bistros and art galleries with Italian ice-cream parlours being a particular speciality on this coastline.
