Escape
Llandudno
A contemporary B&B that defines boutique. WOW-factor rooms, high-end design that’s original and inventive. How to be beside the sea 21st-century style.
Remember the B&Bs of old? Now you can bin them. Escape is about as far as you can get from nylon sheets, sauce bottles and meanspirited landladies. Located in Llandudno, the Queen’ of Welsh resorts, it serves as a shining example of how things should be done in a ‘B&B beside the sea’ fit for 21st-century purposes. You’ll like the look of Escape’s creamy, candy-like exterior, a confection of all things Victorian. But the queen from that particular era would be shocked and awed by what lies within. Property shows bang on about the ‘wow’ factor. You need to double it here.
Llandudno’s first contemporary boutique bolthole ticks all style boxes – and then some more. Each of its nine rooms is an individual creation. Words can’t capture the visual experience, but we’ll try anyway. Escape is funky, sexy, funny, eclectic, cheeky, trendy, glamorous, exotic, quirky and knowingly retro when it has to be. And the rooms’ names – for example, Urban Cool, The Boudoir, Calm & Light, Retro Red – give you more of an idea of what to expect. They come equipped with all the latest high-tech gizmos and gadgets, while the bathrooms are the last word in luxury. Sam, Geanor and Grace are great hosts – nothing is too much trouble for them– they get’s a buzz from making people happy. Not your typical B&B. Who said Llandudno is just for coach parties?
