Hot Tub or Sauna

Every one of the cottages is equally comfortable, and meticulously designed and kitted out, Contemporary interior finishes make for a light and airy feel.

Gwbert Holidays is made up of eleven stunning seaside holiday homes on Cardigan Bay. Sleeping between eight and fifteen guests, a multi-generational, all the cousins, nieces and nephews break is do-able. They’ve all been recently refurbished to high modern standards, and now boast either a spacious hot tub or luxurious swim spa.

They are all within easy reach of getting the sand between your toes, and most of them offer a tempting view of that sand on the beach too.  Situated in the villages of Gwbert and St Dogmaels, on the banks of the Teifi Estuary, they are the perfect launch pad for exploring the unspoiled beauty of the undiscovered Ceredigion coast and the more well-known box-office Pembrokeshire beaches.

Every one of the cottages is equally comfortable, and meticulously designed and kitted out, but for us, Llyswen is the plushest of the portfolio with that absolutely jackpot sea view. Contemporary interior finishes make for a light and airy feel, especially in the wide-open kitchen diner, a relaxing space with breakfast bar, a formal dining area, and comfortable seating area.  You can almost hear the laughter that is the soundtrack to those after-beach suppers with all the family or friends.  The kitchen opens directly onto the terrace, where, if dolphin spotting is proving challenging, a sundowner is as equally fulfilling.  Three of the four bedrooms are ensuite, with plenty of glass allowing that amazing ocean light to flood in, and the master has its own sea view balcony. Conveniently, Gwbert Hotel and The Cliff Hotel and Spa are a short walk away so you’re never too far from a helpful member of the team, or a bite to eat should you not feel like cooking.

Meusydd is a huge and can swallow fourteen guests with expansive ease. Six of the seven bedrooms are king-size, four of which have gorgeous ensuites with the fifth bathroom being a handy downstairs wet room for rinsing off the sand and salt.  We loved the views from the bathtub carefully sitting in the window overlooking the surf.  The broken plan downstairs kitchen diner is an excellent space for feeding the troops entertaining with doors opening to the sun terrace and, with two ovens, there’s enough space to cook and chill.

With the Cardigan coast path just a short walk away, adventure is on the doorstep. From dog-friendly beaches to honey-pot villages and pubs you’ll have earned a soak in the hot tub by the end of the day! Mwnt, Poppit Sands, Aberporth, Tresaith, Penbryn and Llangrannog are just a few of the wild and rugged West Wales beaches that are a must-see but venture a little further and there’s almost always one that you can have to yourself, away from the summer crowds.
