Loom Cottage
St Davids
With views down through the trees to the coast, it’s a quietly luxurious retreat designed for ease, calm and connection to nature.

Tucked between the lively harbour town of Fishguard and the storied city of St Davids, Loom Cottage sits in a hidden fold of North Pembrokeshire. Part of a small cluster of cottages gathered around an old country courtyard, it nestles on the wooded slopes of the Abermawr Valley — a place where sea views open up unexpectedly through the trees and the coastline feels close enough to touch.
Inside, the cottage is all calm and comfort. An open-plan kitchen and living space is laid with cool slate floors, kept toasty underfoot by a ground-source heat pump. A wood-burning stove draws you in on cooler evenings, while a large north-facing picture window captures a painterly view of the valley rolling down to the sea. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors spill out onto a west-facing patio, the perfect perch for sunset — with lounge chairs, a picnic table, and a fire bowl for stargazing nights and fireside chats beneath the trees.
Designed with ease and flow in mind, Loom Cottage is fully wheelchair accessible. A gentle gravel path leads from the car park to the entrance, with wide doors, ramps and smooth transitions throughout. The en-suite bathroom offers a thoughtful balance of comfort and accessibility, with a walk-in shower (complete with grab rail and removable chair), low basin and underfloor warmth.
The kitchen is fully equipped — whether you're rustling up breakfast before a coast path ramble or settling in for supper after a day in the sea air. And if you’d rather arrive to a few essentials, a welcome hamper can be added when booking — think warm local bread, bara brith, homemade jam, and eggs from nearby farms.
The bedroom is softly lit and deeply restful, with generous storage and rich, cosy textures. At night, there's no traffic hum here — just the hush of the trees, the occasional murmur of waves rising from the bay, and a sky full of stars. Loom Cottage sits within a designated Dark Skies area, and on clear nights, the stargazing is nothing short of spectacular.
If you are looking for something a little bigger, sister property, The Eco Barn sleeps up to 8, is worth checking out.
